LEADERSHIP ROOTED IN FAMILY, COMMUNITY & BUSINESS

Experience & Integrity: Jeff Leenhouts is the Common-Sense Supervisor for a Stronger Penfield

My Penfield neighbors care about what the town is known for, what it works for, and what it stands for,” Leenhouts said. “In this way, the town is an extension of ourselves and we’re proud of Penfield. This pride is not a claim of perfection, but a commitment to it.

ABOUT

Meet Jeff

The Town of Penfield has been home to Jeff Leenhouts, his wife, and their four children for over 20 years. During that time, he has faithfully served as a community leader and volunteered with several outstanding organizations and charities as a board member, including Penfield Little League, Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts of America, Center for Youth, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, Rochester Regional Health Foundation, Rochester Police Foundation, and Rochester Rotary Club.

Professionally, Leenhouts’ career has focused on financial services as a certified financial planner, chartered financial consultant, and project manager. He’s worked with Smith Barney, RBC Wealth Management, Home Leasing, and Home Properties. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John Fisher College.

Leenhouts’ professional and community work has equipped him with extensive experience in engaging stakeholders and building consensus around challenging issues. He’s led development projects to successful completion, managing diverging interests, while building relationships and celebrating positive outcomes in a timely manner.

Leenhouts believes the Town of Penfield has helped shape the person he’s become. Penfield is where he and his family have celebrated their birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and holidays. The town streets are where his kids learned to ride their bikes and drive their cars. His neighbors are friends, teachers, classmates, and teammates. For the Leenhouts family, Penfield is forever a part of their story and their deepest sense of home.
